Post Number: Four

Before you go through this post i would suggest you to go through my previous post, so that you can get everything in a proper manner. For simplicity i am assigning POST NUMBERS to each of my post...

Posting after long time.....First of all Happy New Year 2013....and Sorry for the delay.... last year of college life is always quite busy ;) 

So.... I hope you have gone through my previous posts, and if you have followed what i have told you guys to do... then you must have raised your Gate Score up to the level where you can manage to get a Score Card.

Seems my task is nearly complete :)

Though there are a few things i would like to share which in turn may help you in your "Last few crucial days of preparation"... 

1. Try to get and solve as many GATE Sample papers as you can so as to know where you stand and how much progress  you have made. In-fact you can join a TEST SERIES of any good institute. 
2.  "TIME" most crucial factor in all competitive exams..... The way one "Attempts the Exam" in those crucial hours is one of the key factor in deciding your Result. Sooooo... here is a Method of "Attempting question paper" which will at least give you Extra 5 minutes(Two question!! upto 4 marks!! Not Bad...Huh!!!).I call it Cross and Circle Method... :D

• Start solving paper from one end, mark the question as follows:
• If you can solve it right at the moment(give or take 30 seconds to 1 minute), Coz it is from the topic you have great command or its to easy(Remember 10% of the question in any exam are easy,its just they may be at the begining or at last... so "you must go through all the questions") <<<--->>> Solve it and put a Right/Tick mark on the question an move on.
• If you think you can solve it by giving some time on it, coz its requires Calculation or its from a topic you have not prepared that well and are confused among given choices <<<--->>> Circle the question no. and move on to next.
• Last if you think you have no idea about the question, coz its from the topic you have left or You simply have no idea "What the hell is this???" <<<--->>> Cross mark the question no. and move on.
•       If you follow above method, by the end of an hour or two, you would have completely gone through whole paper, with above markings AND now if you check
• There will be at least 10-20 questions which you have solved....and
• 15-25 question will be having Circle mark on them, and you can start solving any of them according to your preference.
• Now you may ask.... "Where did we saved time???"........ so let me tell you my friends, "We save time from those Cross marked questions"...... HOW?????? Its simple : 
• We always read a question, no matter a few lines or whole question from it before deciding whether to solve it or not...and it takes few seconds.... These are the seconds we are trying to save here....... As we have marked cross in front of the question in our first scanning of whole paper...on our next turn we wont even look at the question.. so saving those seconds, which we would have wasted in reading the question again and realizing "Shit why am i reading this question again  :P" ...... As there will be around 10+ questions which you have marked cross, you are saving minimum 2 minutes(Can make big difference).

 So friends... try out above method on few sample papers and see the difference. If it helps you go for it.... and if it don't.... you got your method for back up ;)

Rest.... Best wishes for GATE 2013..., Give your best.... Anddddddd.... Try to be relaxed during exam... Nervousness will be there.... but.... try to overcome it and you will see the difference..... ankhir "Dar ke aage he to jeet hai"
